This day is celebrated by eating eggs in all its forms, but the most common is to eat omelettes, “lardon cake” and egg sausage. In the afternoon, Carnival celebrations begin with the Arribo: the arrival of the Carnival King and its entourage that symbolize the seven historic towns of the city: Horta, Sant Andreu, Sarrià, Gràcia, Sants, les Corts and Sant Martí.
