The Smart City Expo World Congress 2017, the leading international meeting on smart cities, will hold its next edition in Barcelona from November 14 to 16, at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue.
The Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) was born in Barcelona in 2011 and with these years it has already positioned itself as one of the essential appointments to work on a sustainable future of cities, given its great growth, that brings together the best innovation companies and the brightest minds in the whole world.
The largest edition of Smart City Barcelona
The organizers of the Smart City Expo World Congress plan to attract more than 17,000 attendees this year in what will be its largest edition to date with the participation of 700 cities from more than 120 countries, 670 exhibitors -distributed by almost 20 percent more of surface- and 420 speakers.
Empower Cities, Empower Citizens is the motto chosen by the Smart City Expo World Congress this year to focus on the creation of strategies to empower metropolises and their citizens through active participation, critical reflection, awareness and access and control over important decisions and resources.
This edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress 2017 will host the first Smart Mobility World Congress, a conference on intelligent transport that will take place annually and will serve to show the most innovative advances in urban and interurban mobility, one of the great challenges presented by cities nowadays.
