Hotel Actual is located on Paseo de Gràcia, the most chic street in Barcelona. In this elegant promenade you will find the most exclusive fashion brands, the main flagship stores and the most emblematic modernist architecture buildings. Gaudí’s Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, is located in the same block as the hotel, so some of our rooms even have views of this most famous work by Gaudí. Also located on Passeig de Gràcia, and only a few streets from Hotel Actual, there are other modernist jewels such as Casa Batlló or Casa Lleó i Morera.

As it is in the center of Barcelona, the hotel is one step away from almost everything. You can get there very easily by public transport from the airport and then visit the city on foot. But if you need to travel further, you also have several public transportation options practically in front of the hotel: the Diagonal metro stop (Green Line) and several bus lines.

Driving through the center of Barcelona and parking

If you come by car, you should know a couple of things. As the hotel is in the center of Barcelona, it is affected by the Barcelona City Council regulations that have created a Low Emissions Zone (ZBE) in the city to reduce pollution. Therefore, to circulate through the center of Barcelona, it is necessary to have the environmental label of the DGT 0, Eco, C or B (the B will no longer be allowed from 2022). Cars with foreign registration that meet the requirements equivalent to the DGT distinctive may circulate freely. Those who do not comply can request daily authorizations for a maximum of ten working days per year. Registration can be done at this link.

On the other hand, as parking can be a problem in the center of Barcelona, and if you come for several days it can also be expensive, Hotel Actual has an agreement with a nearby car park where, as a hotel customer, you can park at an unbeatable price in the city. I stayed there for 2 nights during a business trip. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was lovely. The tv had CNN and the WiFi was good. The location was amazing. It was in the middle of an upscale area with shops and restaurants everywhere.

The Hotel actual is about a 10 minute north west walk from the Passeig de Gràcia station which is easily accessible by train from the airport, 4 stops from terminal 2- take a free shuttle from T1 . It is in an extremely handy position to access most of what you want to see around Barcelona and near several highish priced eating spots. We stayed for 2 nights before departing on a Northern Spain tour which started in a nearby hotel. The rooms are large with a big bed. There is an excellent shower in the bath.

My wife and I wanted to stay in Barcelona to see in the new year and could not have chosen a better base. Hotel Actual is a wonderful little hotel in a fantastic location with some of the main attractions within a15 minute walk. The hotel is well kitted out with all mod cons. The rooms are comfy, warm and spotlessly clean. From arrival to departure, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and fresh and tea and freshly brewed coffee and biscuits are available from 1400 - 2200 hours on the first floor.

The location of this hotel is definitely perfect! It locates.in the core area of Barcelona, right next to the hotel, there is PASSEIG DE GRACIA, where many high end brand shops locate( Good for shopping! 🛍 ) Then for transportation, it is superrrrr near the metro station (DIAGONAL), you can take metro for 3 stops to the Catalunya or just simply walk to there for approximately 15 minutes, which is so convenient ! Especially many tourist spots are nearby the hotel as well!
